Schools & Colleges

Dancing Bugz runs classes and programmes at school and colleges for two main purposes. First to work with pupils leading up to their annual formal ball – typically 16 to 18 year olds – and, secondly, to help pupils learn to dance generally, at any level or age.

Three years ago Dancing Bugz devised a 10 week dancing program for schools and colleges where students learnt several dances and then had a “DANCE BATTLE” against other schools.

Our program is threefold:
  1. Teaches children to dance at a high social level - social interaction with the opposite sex-poise-exercise-and definitely “FUN”.
  2. Prepare for that school social/formal.
  3. Ballroom Blitz and Latin American Dance battle at conclusion of program.
Over the past 10 years Dancing Bugz has taught at Karori Normal, Samuel Marsden Collegiate, Scots College formal, Evans Bay Intermediate, Ridgeway, Seatoun, Wa Ora Montessori, NaeNae and Onslow College.

At the 2007 Dance Battle we were honoured with the presence of her Worship the Mayor, Kerry Prendergast. In the previous two Dance Battles, all school principals and many staff have attended.

Just remember that name Dancing Bugz, and contact us now.
